These terms apply to lessons with Lucas Cuello, trading as Luke’s Private Guitar & Piano Tuition (luke@lukesmusictuition.co.uk).

Booking

Sending an enquiry through this website doesn’t book anything. After we’ve talked, I’ll confirm in writing the student, the lesson length, the fee and the start date. The first lesson is paid. Each new term is a new booking. Before it starts I’ll send you the dates, the fee and your right to cancel, and the booking is made when you confirm you’d like to continue.

Fees and paying

The fee is agreed in writing before the first lesson. I usually invoice termly in advance by bank transfer, and other arrangements can be agreed. Exam entry fees are paid separately to the exam board.

Cancellations

• Less than 24 hours’ notice: the lesson is charged.
• 24 hours’ notice or more: a lesson already paid for is rescheduled, and a lesson not yet paid for isn’t charged.
• If I cancel, we reschedule the lesson. If we can’t find another time, you aren’t charged for it. If you’ve already paid, I take it off your next invoice, or refund it if there isn’t one.

Apart from that, and your right to cancel below, lessons already paid for aren’t refunded.

Stopping lessons

You can stop at the end of any term by not booking the next one. If you stop during a term, the rest of that term isn’t refunded.

Your right to cancel

When you book by WhatsApp, email or in your home, you can cancel within 14 days of booking without giving a reason. If you asked me to start within those 14 days, you pay only for the lessons already given, and I refund the rest within 14 days. To cancel, tell me by WhatsApp or email.

Safeguarding

Lessons follow my safeguarding rules. For students under 18, a responsible adult must be at home during lessons.

Complaints

If something isn’t right, please tell me first by WhatsApp or email and I’ll reply within 14 days. If we can’t sort it out, the Citizens Advice consumer helpline (0808 223 1133) can advise you.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
