Fees and policies
Lessons start from £50. The exact fee depends on lesson length, needs and location, and I confirm it in writing before the first lesson.
Lesson length
As a rough guide, weekly lessons usually last 30 minutes at ages 4–5, 40 minutes at 6–7, 50 minutes at 8–12, and 60 minutes for teenagers and adults. Online lessons on Google Meet cost the same as lessons at home.
Getting started
Nothing is booked or paid until we’ve talked. Once we’ve chatted on WhatsApp, we arrange a first lesson, which is paid.
Paying
I usually invoice termly in advance by bank transfer, and I’m happy to be flexible. There are no payments on this website. Exam entry fees are paid separately to the exam board.
Cancelling a lesson
- With less than 24 hours’ notice, the lesson is charged.
- With 24 hours’ notice or more, a lesson you’ve already paid for is rescheduled, and a lesson you haven’t paid for yet isn’t charged. There are no refunds.
- If I have to cancel, we reschedule the lesson. If we can’t find another time, you aren’t charged for it. If you’ve already paid, I take it off your next invoice, or refund it if there isn’t one.
Stopping lessons
You can stop at the end of any term. If you stop part-way through a term, the rest of that term isn’t refunded.
Your right to cancel
When you book lessons with me by WhatsApp, email or in your home, you have 14 days to change your mind. If you ask me to start within those 14 days and then cancel, you only pay for the lessons already given. The full details are in the terms.
